يستعرض الجزء الأول من هذا المقال الجهود الدولية المبذولة بهدف التوعية بحقوق المسنين وحاجياتهم. ويقدم الجزء الثاني وجهة النظر الإسلامية الأخلاقية، من منظور شيعي، لرعاية هذه الفئة من الناس.

The first part of this article reviews the international efforts exerted to promote the rights and the needs of the aged. The second part presents an Islamic ethical vision, from a Shīʻī perspective, for taking care of this group of people.
