يبدأ المقال باستعراض الشروط الشرعية لتذكية الحيوان في الإسلام ثم يقصد إلى استخلاص المبادئ والآداب العامة التي قصدتها الشريعة الإسلامية في الذكاة.يناقش المقال كذلك طرق الذبح الحديثة التي تتبع في المسالخ وحكم اللحوم المستوردة من بلاد غير إسلامية. ويختم الكاتب بحثه بعدد من التوصيات للدول الإسلامية فيما يتعلق باستيراد اللحوم.

The article starts with reviewing the Sharia-based conditions for the ritual slaughter of animals in Islam and then elaborates on the main principles and etiquettes of ritual slaughter in the Islamic Sharia. The article also examines the modern methods of slaughtering animals adopted by slaughterhouses and the ruling pertaining to the meat imported from non-Muslim countries. The author concludes his study with a number of recommendations that Muslim countries need to consider as far as importing meat is concerned.
