يتألف هذا المقال من ثلاثة فصول رئيسية. يستعرض الفصل الأول الشروط الشرعية لتذكية الحيوان في الإسلام. ويشرح الفصل الثاني الطرق الحديثة المستخدمة لتدويخ الحيوان قبل ذبحه وإلى أي مدى تتوافق هذه الطرق مع الشروط الشرعية المذكورة في الفصل الأول. ويستعرض الفصل الثالث الآراء الفقية والفتاوى التي صدرت حول حكم اللحوم المستوردة من بلاد غير إسلامية.

The article consists of three main sections. The first section discusses the Sharia-based conditions for the ritual slaughter of animals in Islam. The second section explains the modern methods used for stunning animals before slaughtering them and to what extent they are compatible with the Sharia-based conditions outlined in the first section. The third section reviews the juristic opinions and fatwas on the (im)permissibility of the meat imported from non-Muslim countries.
