يتناول هذا الكتاب موضوع الأمراض الوراثية في الفقه الإسلامي. ينقسم الكتاب إلى جزئين. في الجزء الأول من الكتاب تمهيد وبابين. التمهيد يتناول الأمراض الوراثية والأمراض الغير وراثية. الباب الأول يناقش حقيقة الأمراض الوراثية وآثارها، وتعريف الأمراض الوراثية وحقيقة الخلايا والمورثات ودورها في نقل الأمراض الوراثية. يناقش هذا الباب أيضا الأمراض الوراثية الصبغية والبسيطة والمعقدة والآثار الإجتماعية والإقتصادية والنفسية والإجتماعية للأمراض الوراثية. الباب الثاني يناقش أحكام الأمراض الوراثية والفحوصات الطبية الوراثية للكشف عن الأمراض الوراثية لحديثي الولادة والأجنة وحكم كشف نتيجة الفحص الوراثي. ثم يتناول هذا الباب الأحكام الوقائية للحد من الأمراض الوراثية، ومنها حكم نكاح الأقارب وترك نكاح حاملي المرض الوراثي ومنع الحمل بأساليبه المختلفة. يتناول هذا الباب أيضا موضوع التلقيح الصناعي وأحكام إختيار جنس الجنين. أما الجزء الثاني من الكتاب، فهو تكملة للباب الثاني ويناقش الإجهاض وأحكامه كوسيلة للوقاية من الأمراض الوراثية. يتناول هذا الباب أيضا طرق مختلفة للعلاج من الأمراض الوراثية وأحكامها ومنها العلاج بالقرآن والدعاء والصدقة وعلاج المورثات. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يناقش هذا الباب حكم العلاج بالخلايا الجذعية، زراعة الأعضاء و العلاج بالنخاع.

This book deals with the subject of genetic diseases in Islamic jurisprudence. It consists of two volumes. The first volume comprises a preliminary chapter and two sections. The preliminary chapter deals with genetic disorders and non-genetic disorders. The first section discusses the reality of genetic diseases and their effects, and defines genetic disorders, and the reality behind stem cells and genes, and their role in transferring genetic disorders. This section also discusses chromosomal genetic disorders, simple and complex genetic disorders, and their social, economic and psychological effects. The second section discusses the rulings pertaining to genetic disorders. It then discusses medical genetic tests to expose genetic disorders of newborns and fetuses, and the rulings pertaining to disclosing the results of genetic testing. It then deals with the rulings pertaining to protection to limit genetic disorders, and amongst these are the rulings pertaining to consanguineous marriage, avoiding marrying carriers of genetic disorders, and contraception and its different types. It also deals with the subject of artificial insemination and the rulings pertaining to sex determination. As for the second volume, it is a continuation of the second section in the first volume, and it discusses abortion and the rulings pertaining to it as a method of protection from genetic disorders. It also deals with the different ways of treating genetic disorders and the rulings pertaining to it; and amongst these are treatments by the Koran, prayer, charity and gene therapy. Additionally, it discusses the rulings pertaining to therapy using stem cells, organ transplantation and bone marrow transplantation.
