يتناول هذا الكتاب موضوع عورة المرأة والرجل من منظور فقهي وشرعي إسلامي في ثلاثة فصول. يناقش الفصل الأول حد العورة للرجل والمرأة في الصلاة، وصفة ما يتححقق به ستر العورة أثناء الصلاة، وحكم ستر العورة بالثياب والأقمشة المحرمة وسترها بثياب ملونة أو مصبوغة، وحكم كشف العورة أثناء الصلاة. و يبحث الفصل الثاني في حد العورة في حق النظر في غير الصلاة، و ستر العورة في مواقف مختلفة مثل الاختلاط الناس، قضاء الحاجة، دخول الحمامات والإغتسال، وغض البصر للرجال والنساء. ويناقش الفصل الثالث أحكام سماع صوت النساء، والخلوة بهن، وحكم مس الرجل والمرأة لبعضهم، وحكم مس الميت وغسله، وأحكام خروج المرأة من المنزل لأسباب عديدة مثل زيارة القبور، العلم والعمل، الذهاب إلى المسجد للصلاة والإعتكاف، أدآء مناسك الحج والعمرة، بالإضافة إلى شروط خروج المرأة من المنزل.

This book deals with the subject of the private parts (ʻawrah: the parts of the human body that must be covered from an Islamic perspective) for men and women from an Islamic jurisprudential perspective in three chapters. The first chapter discusses the limits of the private parts (ʻawrah) for men and women during prayer, and the characteristic of what is permissible to be used in covering during prayer, the rulings for covering private parts (ʻawrah) with forbidden clothes and materials, and covering them with colored or dyed clothing, and the rulings for exposing ʻawrah during prayer. The second chapter discusses the limits of ʻawrah in the right of viewing in circumstances other than prayer, covering body parts in different circumstances such as in public, defecation and entering the bathroom, the subject of lowering the gaze of men and women. The third chapter discusses the rulings of hearing women’s voices, being alone with them, and the rulings of men and women touching each other, the rulings of touching and washing cadavers, and the rulings of women leaving the house for numerous reasons such as visiting graves, education and work, going to the mosque to pray and observe night prayers, performing the rituals of Hajj and Umrah, in addition to the conditions for women leaving the house.
