يتكون الكتاب من بابين. يتكون الباب الأول من فصلين. الفصل الأول يعرف النسب لغة وشرعا ويناقش الدعوى في النسب. يتناول أيضا موضوع الشبهة وأنواعها عند المذهب الحنفي والحنبلي والشافعي والمالكي. الفصل الثاني يناقش الطرق التي تستخدم في إثبات النسب، القديمة منها والحديثة. ومن الطرق الحديثة المتناولة في هذا الفصل طريقة إستعمال فصيلة الدم، الخلايا والجينات الوراثية والحكم الشرعي في هذه الطرق. الباب الثاني يتكون من فصلين عن أنواع الإشتباه في النسب وآثاره. ومن هذه الأنواع الإشتباه بسبب اللقطة، اللعان والتلقيح الصناعي
Abstract Translated
This book consists of two parts. The first part contains two chapters. The first chapter defines paternity linguistically and according to Islamic law and it discusses lawsuits related to paternity. It also deals with the subject of doubt and its types according to the Hanafi, Hanbali, Shaafii and Maaliki schools of thought. The second chapter discusses both the traditional and modern ways used to prove paternity. Amongst the modern ways that are discussed in the chapter are blood types, cells and genes, and the shariah-based rulings related to these methods. The second part contains two chapters about the types of doubt in paternity and its effects. Of these types are doubts due to the child being a foundling, artificial insemination, Liʻān (oath of condemnation), and artificial insemination.
