تم تقديم هذا البحث إلى المؤتمر العالمي الخامس عن الطب الإسلامي المنعقد في الكويت خلال الفترة 20-23 نوفمبر 1988. يقرر البحث -عن طريق ضرب عدد من الأمثلة- أن العلوم الطبية في حاجة إلى الفقه الإسلامي كما أن الفقهاء في حاجة إلى نصيحة الأطباء حتى يتسنى صياغة منظور إسلامي متماسك فيما يتعلق بالأخلاقيات الطبية والحيوية. ويستشهد الكاتب بعدد من الأحداث التاريخية من أجل التدليل على صحة ما ذهب إليه

This paper was presented to the fifth international conference on Islamic medicine held in Kuwait during the period 20-23 November 1988. Using various examples, the paper argues that medical sciences are in need of Islamic jurisprudence and conversely Muslims jurists are also in need of physicians’ advice in order to formulate a well-grounded Islamic vision for biomedical ethics. The author quotes different historical reports in order to argue for his thesis.
