تم تقديم هذا البحث إلى المؤتمر العالمي الرابع عن الطب الإسلامي المنعقد في الكويت خلال الفترة 9-13 نوفمبر1986. بعد تقديم معلومات أولية عن الطب الوقائي بشكل عام، يركز البحث على مجالات محددة في الطب النبوي ذات علاقة بالطب الوقائي مثل الحجر الصحي وبالطب العلاجي مثل استخدام العسل والحبة السوداء كدواء.

This paper was presented to the fourth international conference on Islamic medicine held in Kuwait during the period 9-13 November 1986. After giving introductory information about preventive medicine in general, the paper focuses on specific aspects in prophetic medicine related to preventive medicine, such as quarantine, and to curative medicine, such as using honey and the black seed or nigella sativa as medicine.
