هل يجوز في الإسلام زراعة خلايا الجهاز العصبي؟ هذا هو السؤال الرئيسي لهذا البحث الذي تم تقديمه إلى الندوة التي عقدتها المنظمة الإسلامية للعلوم الطبية حول زراعة الأعضاء في الكويت أثناء الفترة 23-24 أكتوبر من عام 1989. يشير المؤلف إلى أن الإجابة على السؤال السابق تعتمد على عدة عوامل يمكن أن يجعل كلا منها زراعة مثل هذه الأعضاء حلالا أو حراما. وترتبط هذه العوامل بهوية المتبرع بالعضو والمتلقي لهذا العضو والأغراض التي لأجلها يتم زراعة هذه الأعضاء.

Is it allowed in Islam to transplant the cells of the nervous system? This is the main question of this paper which was read during the symposium held by the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) during the period 23-24 October 1989 on organ transplantation. The author says that the answer for the aforementioned question is dependent on a number of factors each of which can make transplanting such organs permitted or prohibited. These factors have to do with the identity of the organ donor and receptor and the purposes for which these organs are to be transplanted.
