يبدأ هذا الكتاب بنبذة تاريخية عن المجتمع قبل الإسلام والمعاملات المالية وتنظيم الأسرة والمجتمع. ينقسم الكتاب إلى تسعة أقسام عن مواضيع مختلفة عن الأسرة والمجتمع من منظور إسلامي. القسم الأول يتحدث عن الأهداف الإجتماعية في الشريعة وتهذيب الأفراد. القسم الثاني يناقش العلاقات الإجتماعية والكرامة والعدالة القانونية والإجتماعية والدولية والتعاون الإنساني. ثم يناقش العديد من الأمور المتعلقة بالأسرة مثل الزواج وحقوق الزوج والزوجة وشخصية المرأة في الأسرة. ثم يتناول موضوع الطلاق والخلع وحقوق الأولاد وحقوق من لا آباء أو أولياء لهم والميراث. يطرح الكتاب أيضا موضوع التكافل الإجتماعي والأموال التي تجب فيها الزكاة والصدقات. ثم يختتم الكتاب بمناقشة الوقف والعلاقات الإجتماعية والتربية الإسلامية، والحرية بجميع أنواعها مثل الحرية السياسية والدينية.

This book begins with a brief history of society before Islam, financial transactions, family planning and society. It then divides into nine sections on various issues on family and society from an Islamic perspective. The first section talks about the social objectives of shariah in disciplining individuals. The second chapter discusses societal relationships, dignity, legal, social and international justice, and human cooperation. It discusses various issues related to the family such as marriage, rights of the husbands and wives, and the personality of women in the family. It then deals with the subject of divorce, khul’ (when the wife pays financial compensation to the husband for divorce), children’s rights, the rights of children with no parents or guardians, and inheritance. The book also covers social welfare and funds from which Zakah and alms should be paid. The book then discusses religious endowments (waqf), social interactions and Islamic education, and freedom in all its types such as political and religious freedom.
