أصدرت هذه الفتوى ردا على سؤال عن إمرأة توفيت عن تركة، وصرف عليها والدها أثناء مرضها وتجهيزها بعد موتها من حسابها. فسئل عما إذا كان الأب أو الزوج ملزومين بهذه المصاريف. أجاب الشيخ الزوج ملزم بمصاريف كفن الزوجة. أما بالنسبة لمصاريف العلاج، فالأب والزوج ليسوا ملزومان بهذه المصاريف.

This fatwa was issued in response to a question asked about a woman who left behind inheritance after her death, and her father paid for the expenses of her treatment and the expenses of her funeral after her death from her own money. Therefore, it was asked about whether the father or the husband are obliged to bear these costs. The Sheikh replied that the husband is obliged to bear the cost of his wife’s coffin. As for the treatment expenses, neither the father nor the husband are obliged to bear them.
