أصدرت هذه الفتوى ردا على سؤال عن نسب ولد ولد في مدة أقل من ستة أشهر من تاريخ عقد الزواج. أجاب الشيخ بأن إذا كانت المدة بين عقد الزواج والولادة أقل من ستة أشهر فلا يثبت نسب الولد. ويكون ذلك إلا في حال إقرار الوالد ببنوة الطفل وقال أنه إبنه، ولم يقل من الزنا، فينسب الطفل له ويرثه.

This fatwa was issued in response to a question about the paternity of a child born in a period less than six months from the date of the marriage contract. The Sheikh replied that if the period between the marriage contract and birth is less than six months, the paternity of the child is not proven. This is the case except where the father acknowledges paternity of the child and stated that the child is his own, and did not say as a result of illegitimate sexual relations. In this case the paternity of the child is proved and thus has the right to inherit the father.
