Abstract
يتكون هذا الكتاب من أربعة فصول. الفصل الأول يتناول المفاهيم المتعلقة بعلم البيولوجيا الجزيئية، مثل الحامض النووي وتركيبه والمادة الوراثية. الفصل الثاني يتناول الجينات، الهندسة الجينية وإستخدام التفاعلات التسلسلية لإنزيم البلمرة للكشف عن الأمراض الوراثية. الفصل الثالث يناقش إنعكاسات علم البيولوجيا على المجتمع والآثار والقضايا الناجمة عن التطور التكنولوجي والعلوم البيولوجيا في مجالات عديدة مثل البيئة، الصحة، الإجهاض، الفحص من خلال الجينات وغيرها من القضايا والمشاكل الإجتماعية والسياسية. الفصل الرابع يعرض المبادئ والأخلاقيات المرتبطة بعمل البحث العلمي وعلاقتها بالمجتمع مثل الحرية، المسئولية العلمية والإجتماعية، الحفاظ على الصحة، إحترام الآراء العلمية الأخرى والصدق العلمي.
Abstract Translated
This book consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with concepts related to microbiological sciences such as DNA and its composition and genetic material. The second chapter deals with genes, genetic engineering and the use of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) to identify genetic diseases. The third chapter discusses the reflections of biological sciences on society, and the impact and issues raised as a result of technological development and biological sciences in various fields. These fields include the environment, health, abortion, genetic testing amongst other social and political issues and problems. The fourth chapter presents principles and ethics related to scientific research and its relationship with society such as freedom, scientific and societal liability, healthcare, respecting other scientific opinions and scientific integrity.
