يتكون هذا الكتاب من أربعة مباحث. المبحث الأول يحتوي على تعريفات عامة للحكم الشرعي، الخنزير والهندسة الوراثية. ثم يناقش أحكام إستخدام أجزاء مختلفة من الخنزير في الفقه الإسلامي في المبحث الثاني، مثل لحم، جلد، عظم ولبن الخنزير، وحكم التداوى بالمحرمات. المبحث الثالث يتناول مجالات إستخدام الخنزير في الهندسة الوراثية والأحكام الشرعية المتعلقة بها. ثم يختتم الكتاب بمناقشة المشروعية الإسلامية لمنع إستعمال الخنزير.

This book consists of four sections. The first section contains general definitions of legal rules, pigs and genetic engineering. The second section discusses the rules of using various parts of pigs according to Islamic jurisprudence, such as the meat, skin, bones and milk of pigs, and the permissibility of using religiously prohibited materials for treatment. The third section deals with the scope of using pigs in genetic engineering, and the legal rules connected with it. The book then ends with discussing the Islamic justification for forbidding the use of pigs.
