يتكون هذا الكتاب من ثلاثة عشرة فصلا. الفصول الأول والثاني والثالث تتناول الإنسان وجيناته وبداية الحياة. الفصل الرابع يناقش الهندسة الوراثية والتكنولوجيا الحيوية ، والفصل الخامس والسادس يناقشان العابر الجيني وإستخداماته والأمراض الوراثية. الفصل السابع والثامن يناقشان العلاج الجيني والأمراض متعددة الجينات وعلاجها الجيني .الفصل التاسع والعاشر يناقشان مرض السرطان وأسبابه وأنواعه وعلاجه الجيني ثم يناقش مشروع الجينوم البشري. أخر ثلاثة فصول في هذا الكتاب تتناول نتائج مشروع الجينوم البشري، تصنيع الأعضاء البشرية والكيمياء التخليقية الإتحادية.

This book consists of thirteen chapters dealing with these topics in order: The first, second and third chapters talk about humans;their genes; beginning of life. The fourth, fifth and sixth chapters discusses genetic engineering; biotechnology; trans-genesis and its uses; genetic disorders. The seventh and eighth chapters discuss gene therapy; multi-gene diseases and their gene therapy. The ninth and tenth chapters discuss cancer; its causes; types; gene therapy; and Human Genome Project. The final three chapters of this book deal with the results of the Human Genome Project; manufacturing human organs and combinatorial chemistry.
