This book consists of eleven chapters. The first chapter discusses disabled children, categories of disability and the percentage of its occurrence, special needs of disabled children, and the rights and duties of the disabled child’s family. The second chapter deals with the family, its structure and importance in social upbringing, family problems and its negative repercussions on the children. The third chapter then deals with the family of the disabled child, their needs and problems, and living with the child’s disability. The fourth chapter discusses the different reactions of the parents towards their child’s disability, then on the impact of the disability on the parents in the fifth chapter. The sixth, seventh and eighth chapters touch on the subject of guiding parents and training them on dealing with their child’s disability, and their participation in educational programs. The ninth and tenth chapters discuss the relationship between the disabled child’s parents and specialists, and the relationship between mothers and fathers. The eleventh chapter deals with improving the behavior of disabled children and training the parents on that.
