يحتوي هذا الكتاب على أربعة فصول. الفصل الأول يناقش الدواء ودوره عبر الحضارات المختلفة وصناعة الأدوية بشكل عام وصناعتها في مصر بشكل أخص. ثم يتناول الوجه القانوني لنشرات الأدوية والرقابة الدوائية وتسويقها. الفصل الثاني يحتوي على دراسة تحليلية عن النشرات الداخلية للأدوية ومدى توافر المعايير العالمية والعربية والمحلية في نشرات الأدوية. ثم يتناول الجوانب اللغوية والإخراج الطباعي للنشرات ومقارنة النصوص العربية بالنصوص الإنجليزية ومقارنة معلومات المراجع العربية بمعلومات المراجع العالمية. الفصل الثالث والرابع يناقشان أنماط إفادة العاملين بالمهن الطبية والغير عاملين بالمهن الطبية من نشرات الأدوية والإتجاهات لقراءة النشرات وأسبابها ومدى الإعتماد على المعلومات المتواجدة في النشرات. يناقشان أيضا مدى تأثير المعلومات على السلوك القرائي وآراء ومقترحات العاملين بالمهن الطبية والغير عاملين بالمهن الطبية لنشرات الأدوية.

This book consists of four chapters. The first chapter discusses pharmaceuticals and their role over various civilizations, the pharmaceutical industry in general and especially in Egypt. It then deals with the legal aspects of pharmaceutical pamphlets, monitoring and marketing them. The second chapter contains the analytical study on pharmaceutical pamphlets and the extent of the availability of international, Arab and local standards in the pamphlets inside pharmaceuticals. It then deals with the linguistic aspects and the layout of the pamphlets, and compares Arabic texts with English texts, and compares the information in Arab resources with information in international resources. The third and fourth chapters discuss the patterns of beneficence by health professionals and non-health professionals from pharmaceutical pamphlets and the directions of reading them, the reasons behind reading them and the extent of dependence on the information available in these pamphlets. They also discuss the impact of the information on readership behavior and the opinions and suggestions of health professionals and non-health professionals on the pamphlets.
