يبدأ هذا البحث بمجموعة من المقدمات عن مفهوم التأمين الصحي وأنواعه وكيف يتم تطبيقه في بعض دول العالم وعلاقته بمفهوم الضمان الاجتماعي في الإسلام. كما يتعرض الباحث للأحكام الفقهية المتعلقة بالأنواع المختلفه للتأمين الصحي وحكم الاشتراط مع الطبيب على الشفاء. ويشرح الكاتب في الجزء الأخير من البحث نظام التأمين الصحي المعمول به في السعودية.

This paper starts with introductory remarks about the concept of health insurance, its types, how it is applied in different countries and how it relates to the concept 'social solidarity' in Islam. The author also elaborates on the juristic rulings pertaining to the different types of health insurance and the (im)permissibility of stipulating healing from the physician. The final part of the paper is dedicated to explaining the health insurance system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
