Abstract

يتكون هذا الكتاب من ستة عشرة فصلا. يبدأ الكتاب بمناقشة الإهتمام بظاهرة الطلاق في المجتمع الكويتي ثم يقدم منهجية البحث المتناولة في هذا الكتاب. من المواضيع المتناولة هي معدلات الزواج والطلاق وإجراءات الخطوبة والموافقة من قبل العائلة. يتطرق الكاتب بعد ذالك إلى أنماط الطلاق وخلفيات المطلقين، مدة الحياة الزوجية والإقامة مع المطلق والتفاعل الإجتماعي بين الزوجين. ثم يناقش الخلافات الزوجية وأسباب إتخاذ قرار الطلاق. يبدأ الكاتب في الفصل الحادي عشر بمناقشة الأثار النفسية للطلاق والتكييف المعيشي بعد الطلاق والتكييف مع الحياة الإجتماعية. ثم يتناول العلاقة بين المطلق والمطلقة وعلاقتهم بأبنائهم وأثر الزواج من جديد.

Abstract Translated

This book consists of sixteen chapters. The author begins with discussing the interest in the phenomenon of divorce in Kuwaiti society, and then presents the research methodology dealt with in this book. Amongst the subjects dealt with are the rates of marriage and divorce, the engagement process and acceptance from the family. The author then addresses the patterns of divorce and the background of divorcees, the duration of marriage, living with divorcees, and social interaction between spouses. He then discusses marital problems and the reasons behind the decision of divorce. In the eleventh chapter, the author begins discussing the psychological effects of divorce and the living adjustment after divorce and adjusting with social life. He then deals with relationship between the divorced, their relationship with their children and the effects of re-marrying.
