This book deals with numerous medical and social issues related to the Muslim family in six chapters. The first chapter discusses health, illness and healing and the rulings concerning them. The second chapter deals with the features, characteristics and ethics that must be possessed by a physician from an Islamic perspective, in addition to the importance of medicine and its place amongst nations. It also discusses the benefits and costs of the medical profession. The third chapter discusses the subject of the hymen, its types and the causes of hymen laceration, and questions and queries concerning it. The fourth chapter deals with the rulings concerning congenital malformations and the fifth deals with the subject of hermaphroditism and its classifications by jurists and physicians. It also discusses the legal rules concerning hermaphrodites. The sixth chapter discusses the criterion of death and the essence of life and death, in addition to the position of jurists and physicians towards degrees of death.
