يتناول الكتاب موضوع ختان البنات ونبذة تاريخية عن أصل ختان البنات. يتضمن فصلين، و منها حكم الشرع الإسلامي بلإضافة إلى منظور الدين المسيحي و اليهودي حول موضوع الختان. يتناول أيضا الجهود العالمية وخاصة من قبل المنظمات العالمية لحقوق الإنسان للقضاء على ختان البنات، بالإضافة إلى فصل خاص عن رأي المصريين في هذا الموضوع.

Abstract Translated

This book discusses the subject of female circumcision and provides the history of the origins of female genital mutilation. It includes two chapters, including the Islamic rulings, in addition to the Christian and Jewish perspectives of the subject. It also discusses international efforts, especially international Human Rights organisations efforts in eliminating female genital mutilation, in addition to a chapter that focuses on the Egyptian opinion of this subject.
