This book discusses the subject of genetic engineering and presents it in relation to the Quran and the Sunnah. The book consists of three chapters: the first defines genetic engineering, its development and the jurists' conception of its uses. The second chapter discusses the positive and negative impacts of using genetic engineering, and the legitimate and legal basis for its use. The third discusses the extent of government responsibility for the negative impacts that result from using genetic engineering, and the legal and legitimate basis for this responsibility.

يتناول الكتاب موضوع الهندسة الوراثية وعرضه على الكتاب والسنة. يتكون الكتاب من ثلاث فصول: الأول يُعرف الهندسة الوراثية وتطورها وموقف الفقهاء من إستخداماتها. الفصل الثاني يتناول الآثار الإيجابية والسلبية لإستخدامات الهندسة الوراثية والأساس الشرعي والقانوني لهذه الإستخدامات. أما الثالث، فيتناول مدى مسئولية الدولة عن الآثار السلبية الناجمة عن إستخدامات الهندسة الوراثية والأساس القانوني والشرعي لهذه المسئولية.
