Abstract

Abstract Translated

This article presents the discussions in Islamic jurisprudence on medical treatment especially when it concerns diseases for which effective medicine has not yet been discovered. I added CL 8.3.1 for 691 informed consent (rather than the more generic 9.2), 20.4.1 for 691 terminal care, and 20.5.1 for 691 futility -- does this imply that 691 allowing to die and/or withholding treatment should be added to the indexing?
