Abstract

تتمثل الأطروحة الرئيسية لهذا هذا المقال في القول بأن نقاشات فقهاء الإسلام قديما لم تكن مبنية على أدلة قطعية وفضلا عن ذلك فإنها تتعارض الآن مع المعلومات الطبية الثابتة. ويدعو المؤلف إلى مراجعة هذه الآراء السابقة وتعديلها إذا اقتضت الضرورة في ضوء المعارف الطبية المتاحة.

Abstract Translated

The main thesis of this article is that the discussions of early Muslim jurists concerning the maximum period of pregnancy are not based on decisive evidence and moreover contrary to current established medical knowledge. The author calls for revising these early opinions and, if necessary, modifying them in light of available medical knowledge.
