يتناول البحث عدد من القضايا الفقهية المتعلقة بالجينات البشرية من منظور اسلامي ويتكون من جزئين رئيسيين: رؤية اسلامية لعلم الهندسة الوراثية من خلال عرض لأهم منجزات هذا العلم وكذلك المحاذير الأخلاقية التي يثيرها؛ و الاختبار الجيني واستخداماته المختلفة من وجهة النظر الشرعية.

The chapter discusses a number of jurisprudential issues related to human genes from an Islamic perspective. It consists of two main parts: an Islamic view of genetic engineering by exploring the most important achievements in this field and the ethical concerns that they raise; and genetic testing and its uses from an Islamic point of view.
