The chapter discusses the role of religion in protection against drug abuse. It consists of seven sections: definition of wine and narcotic drugs; relationship between wine and narcotic drugs; magnitude of drug abuse in the Arab world and globally; reasons behind the spread of narcotic drugs; who is responsible for the spread of narcotic drugs; the role of religion in protection from drug addiction; why Islam succeeded while others failed.
