The book discusses DNA fingerprinting and its authority for the purpose of criminal evidence under Islamic jurisprudence and positive law, with a special focus on the Egyptian law. It consists of a preliminary chapter on the definition of DNA fingerprinting and two main chapters: authority of DNA fingerprinting in Islamic jurisprudence and positive law; and applications and uses of DNA fingerprinting.
