The book discusses the authority of DNA fingerprinting and its impact on jurisprudential rulings. It consists of three main chapters: the practical dimension of DNA fingerprinting and the attitude of court decisions; establishment of paternity in Islamic sharia and its attitude towards DNA fingerprinting; and negation of paternity in Islamic sharia and the role of DNA fingerprinting in establishing this.
