يتناول الكتاب أخلاقيات الاسترشاد الوراثي من وجهة النظر الإسلامية ويتكون من 22 فقرة تناقش العديد من الموضوعات ذات الصلة ومن أهمها: تقييم عام للأمراض الوراثية في العالم الإسلامي؛ تطبيق المباديء الأخلاقية في الخدمات الوراثية؛ بعض الأمثلة للمشكلات الأخلاقية المتعلقة بالاسترشاد الوراثي خصوصا فيما يتعلق بالحمل، الاستنساخ، والاختبارات الوراثية.
Abstract Translated
This small book consists of 22 sections that discuss different aspects of genetic counseling mainly from a normative Islamic background. Some of the main points highlighted are: general evaluation of genetic disorders in the Muslim world; application of ethical principles in genetic services; and examples of ethical dilemmas related to genetic counseling especially in cases involving pregnancy, cloning, and genetic testing.
