Abstract Translated
The book discusses the foundation of the medical profession and also several medical issues with a particular focus on the Egyptian historical and legal contexts and in comparison with Islamic jurisprudence. It consists of five chapters: laws and bylaws regulating the medical profession in Egypt; reasons for and against medical liability; liability for the errors of the treating physicians and its applications; laws regulating medical institutions and the use of anesthetics; and physicians’ responsibility for their patients’ privacy.
