تم تقديم هذا البحث إلى الندوة التي عقدتها المنظمة الإسلامية للعلوم الطبية حول زراعة الأعضاء في الكويت أثناء الفترة 23-24 أكتوبر من عام 1989. يتبنى المؤلف الرأي القائل بأن زراعة الخصيتين والمبايض أمر مباح في الإسلام كما يفند الاعتراضات الأخلاقية التي تثار ضد زراعة هذه الأعضاء. إلا أنه في استدراك لاحق أكد أنه غير رأيه في هذا الصدد إثر المناقشات التي دارت مع المشاركين في الندوة وخلص في النهاية إلى أن زرع الخصيتين والمبايض أمر محرم.

This paper was submitted to the symposium held by the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) during the period 23-24 October 1989 on organ transplantation. The author argues that transplanting the testicles and ovaries is permitted in Islam. He also refutes different ethical objections raised against this type of transplant. In a postscript the author, however, states that he did change his mind after discussions with the other participants in the symposium and finally concludes that transplanting the testicles and ovaries is forbidden.
