تم تقديم هذا البحث إلى المؤتمر العالمي الأول عن الطب الإسلامي المنعقد في الكويت خلال الفترة 12-16 يناير 1981. يسلط الباحث الضوء على بعض من أوجه العلاقة المتبادلة بين الفقه والطب، فمن ناحية يستعرض الكاتب عددا من الأحكام الفقهية التي يكون لخبرة الطبيب فيها دور مؤثر ومن ناحية أخرى يتعرض الكاتب لبعض الأحكام الفقهية التي على الطبيب أن يلتزم بها أثناء بعض الممارسات الطبية مثل تشريح بدن الإنسان والعلاج بالمحرم والنجس والنظر للعورة لأجل العلاج.

This research was presented to the First International Conference on Islamic Medicine held in Kuwait during the period 12-16 January 1981. The author highlights some aspects of the reciprocal relationship between Islamic jurisprudence and medicine. On one hand, the author explains a number of the juristic rulings in which the professional experience of the physician plays a significant role. On the other hand, the author mentions some juristic rulings that the physician should abide by during some medical practices like dissection, using religious prohibited materials for medical treatment and the question of dress modesty (ʻawra) in the medical context.
