أصدرت هذه الفتوى ردا على سؤال عما إذا كانت الزوجة التي طلقت من زوجها المصاب بالجنون ترثه أم لا، علما بأن الزوج توفي بعد عشرين يوما من الطلاق. أجاب الشيخ بأن إذا كان الطلاق من القاضي صحيحا شرعا فلا ترثه الزوجة. أما إذا كان التطليق غير صحيح شرعا فترثه الزوجة أذا مات وهي في العدة.

This fatwa was issued in response to a question about whether a divorcee of a mentally ill husband can receive inheritance, given that the husband died twenty days after the divorce. The Sheikh replied that if the divorce done by the judge was correct according to sharia, the wife does not inherit. However, if the divorce was incorrect according to sharia, the wife inherits from her husband if he passed away during the iddah period of waiting.
