تم تقديم هذا البحث إلى المؤتمر العالمي الثاني عن الطب الإسلامي المنعقد في الكويت في شهر مارس من عام 1982. يتمثل المحور الرئيسي لهذا البحث في مناقشة الأحكام الشرعية المتعقلة بالجراحة والتشريح. وقد خلص البحث إلى أن الشروط المعتبرة لإباحة الجراحة والتشريح وغيرهما من الممارسات الطبية إنما هي مجرد انعكاس لقواعد عامة في الفقه الإسلامي. وعمومية هذه القواعد تسمح باستيعاب أي موقف جديد يطرأ نتيجة التطور في مجال الطب بشكل عام وتحديدا في مجالي الجراحة والتشريح.

This paper was presented to the second international conference on Islamic medicine held in March 1982 in Kuwait. The main focus of this paper was the Sharia-based rulings relevant to surgery and dissection. The paper concluded that conditions for the permissibility of surgical, anatomical dissection or other medical practices are just reflections of broad rules in Islamic jurisprudence. These rules are broad enough to accommodate any new situations arising from advancements in the field of medicine in general or surgery and dissection in specific.
