Abstract

Mostafavi and Peyman reviewed the approach of world religions to the application of modern biotechnology in breeding of domestic animals. They said that Shiite Muslim religious leaders authorized therapeutic cloning but banned reproductive cloning, while Sunni Muslims leaders banned both kinds of cloning.
