عرض على اللجنة سؤال عن حكم الإسلام في نقل الأعضاء وخاصة الكلى. أجابت اللجنة بجواز الأخذ من جثة من أوصى أو سمحت أسرته بنقل أعضاء الميت في حال الضرورة. أجابت اللجنة أيضا بعدم جواز نقل أعضاء مسؤولة عن حياة الشخص مثل القلب، وبجواز نقل أجزاء من الجسم لا تودي بحياة الشخص مثل الدم أو إحدى الكليتين، بشرط أخذ الإذن من الشخص المتبرع.

A question was presented to the commission on the Islamic rulings concerning transfer of organs, particularly kidneys. The commission replied with the permissibility of transplanting organs from cadavers if stated in the deceased person’s will, and if the family consented to cadaver organ donation, in cases of medical necessity. The commission also replied with the impermissibility of transferring organs responsible for the life of the individual such as the heart, and the permissibility of transferring body parts which do not result in the death of the individual, given the consent of the donor.
