يتكون هذا الكتاب من ثلاثة أبواب عن صنعة الطب عبر تاريخ الحضارة الإسلامية. الباب الأول يعرض نبذة تاريخية عن تطور الطب على أيدي أطباء الحضارة العربية الإسلامية، وأهم إسهامات المسلمين في مجالات الطب والعلاج. الباب الثاني يتناول تنظيم صنعة الطب ووظائف الإشراف الرقابي الإداري والمهني على صنعة الطب، تنظيم التعليم والإختبارات الطبية، وتنظيم التخصص الطبي وممارسة صنعة الطب وصنعة الصيدلة. الباب الثالث يتناول تنظيم أماكن ممارسة مهنة الطب مثل العيادات الخاصة، البيمارستانات وسرايا الطبابة العسكرية.

This book consists of three sections on the medical profession throughout the history of Islamic civilizations. The first section presents a brief history of the development of medicine by physicians of the Arab Islamic civilization, and the most important Muslim contributions to the fields of medicine and treatment. The second section deals with the organization of the medical profession and the administrative and professional regulatory supervision of the medical profession, the organization of medical education and examination, and the organization of the medical specialization, conducting medicine and the pharmacology profession. The third section deals with the organization of places of medical practice such as private clinics, religious hospitals and military brigades for medical care.
