يتكون هذا المقال من جزئين رئيسيين. يتطرق المؤلف في الجزء الأول إلى شرح عدد من المصطلحات والمفاهيم الطبية مثل الجهاز الهضمي والبلعوم والمثانة والأوعية الدموية واللمفاية ويشرح في الجزء الثاني الصلة بين هذه المعلومات الطبية والأحكام الفقهية المتعلقة بالتداوي أثناء الصيام وإلى أي مدى تحتاج هذه الأحكام إلى إعادة نظر في ضوء هذه المتسجدات الطبية.

This article consists of two main parts. The first part is dedicated to explaining relevant medical terms such as the digestive system, the pharynx, the bladder, and blood and lymphatic vessels. In the second part, the author explains the relevance of this updated medical information to the juristic rulings pertaining to taking medications during fasting and to what extent these rulings should be revised.
