يتناول هذا الكتاب موضوع ختان البنات في تسعة عشرة فصلا. الفصل الأول يناقش كيفية القضاء على هذه الظاهرة. الفصل الثاني يناقش الختان من منظور ديني مركزا على الآراء الإسلامية والقبطية حول هذا الموضوع . الفصل الثالث يناقش الموضوع من منظور طبي، والرابع يناقش الختان من منظور علم الإجتماع والخامس يتناول رأي الأطباء المختصون في الختان. أما السادس والسابع فيناقشان ما كتب في الصحف المصرية عن الختان ودور الإعلام في مكافحة الختان والتوعية بأضراره. الفصل الثامن والتاسع يتناولان الآثار النفسية لعملية الختان والجوانب القانونية للختان
Abstract Translated
This book deals with the subject of female genital mutilation in ten chapters. The first chapter discusses how to combat this phenomenon. The second chapter discusses female circumcision from the religious perspective focusing on both the Islamic and Coptic views on the topic. The third chapter discusses the topic from a medical perspective, the fourth discusses female circumcision from a sociological perspective and the fifth deals with the opinions of specialized doctors on female circumcision. As for the sixth and seventh, they discusses what has been written in Egyptian newspapers on female circumcision and the role of media in combatting female circumcision and raising awareness of its adverse effects. The eighth and ninth chapter deals with the psychological effects of female circumcision and its legal aspects.
