يناقش الكتاب الاخلاقيات المهنية وأهميتها في الإسلام. ويتكون من فصل تمهيدي عن الاستخلاف الإنساني في الأرض وأدواته، وأثره على المجتمع، وعلاقة الإنسان المستخلف بالأخلاق والمسؤولية. ثم ينقسم الكتاب إلى فصلين. يناقش الفصل الأول أحكام المهنة، وتعريفها، وأنواعها، وحقوقها الطبيعية، وأثر المهنة على العبادات والمعاملات، والرخص المتعلقة بها، ومصادرها بين الشريعة والقانون. أما الفصل الثاني فيناقش أخلاق المهنة وأساسياتها، وتفصيل الأخلاق الجامعة للمهنة مثل: التعاون والأمانة والاستقامة والتوجيه الفقهي لكل خلق، والأدلة عليها من القرآن والسنة والقانون، وأخلاقيات أهم المهن المعاصرة مثل الطب والهندسة والتدريس.

The book discusses professional ethics and their importance in Islam. It consists of a preliminary chapter on the tools of human succession on earth, its effects on society, and the human successor’s relation to ethics and responsibility. It then divides into two chapters. The first chapter discusses the rulings for the profession, its definition, types, and natural rights; the effects of the profession on religious rituals and interaction; the licenses related to it; and its sources between sharia and law. As for the second chapter, it discusses the foundations of professional ethics; it details all of the professional ethics such as cooperation, straightforwardness, honesty; the jurisprudential guidance for each one, the evidence for each one from the Quran, Sunnah and law; the ethics of the most important contemporary professions such as medicine, engineering and teaching.
