يتناول الكتاب موضوع أسرى الحروب ومقارنة معاملة الأسير في الشريعة الإسلامية مع القوانين الدولية. في الفصل الأول يعرف الأسير وحقوقهم في الشريعة الإسلامية. ومن ثم، يتناول الكاتب أحوال الأسرى الأعداء وأحكامهم في الدين والسيرة النبوية، بالإضافة إلى أحكام الأسرى المسلمين. يناقش الكتاب ايضا مدى تطبيق إتفاقية جنيف على الواقع وخاصة في السجون الإسرائلية.

This book deals with the subject of prisoners of war and a comparison between the treatment of prisoners in Islamic Shariah and International law. The first chapter defines a 'prisoner of war' and their rights in Islamic Shariah. The author then deals with the conditions of prisoners of the enemy and the rules related to them in religion and in the prophet's biography, in addition to the rules related to Muslim prisoners of war. The book also discusses the extent to which the Geneva Convention is applied in reality, especially in Israeli prisons.
