يبدأ هذا المقال بمعلومات تمهيدية عن كيفية التعامل مع الإيدز من منظور العقيدة الإسلامية. ثم ينقسم بقية المقال إلى أربعة أجزاء رئيسية: (أ) علاقة المريض بأسرته (ب) عقوبة مريض الإيدز إذا تسبب في إصابة غيره بهذا المرض (ج) عزل مريض الإيدز عن أماكن التجمع كالمدارس وميادين العمل (د) الاحتياطات الواجب اتخاذها أثناء موسم الحج للوقاية من الإيدز والالتهاب الكبدي.

This article starts with introductory remarks about how AIDS should be approached from an Islamic theological perspective. The rest of the article is divided into four main parts: (a) the relation of the patient with his family, (b) the punishment of the AIDS patient if he infects others with this disease, (c) isolating the AIDS patient from gathering places like schools and workplaces and (d) precautions to be taken during the season of pilgrimage (hajj) to prevent AIDS and hepatitis.
