يقدم هذا المقال تحليلا مفصلا لمصطلح القلب ومعناه في المعاجم العربية واستخداماته في الآيات القرآنية. وعلى ضوء هذا التحليل، ينتهي المؤلف إلى القول بأن موت الدماغ ينبغي أن يكون ضابطا مقبولا للموت من منظور إسلامي.

This article presents a detailed analysis of the term ‘heart’ and its meaning in Arabic lexicons and how it was used in the Qur’anic verses. At the hand of this analysis, the author argues that brain death should be recognized as an accepted death criterion from an Islamic perspective.
