The book discusses the permissibility of organ transplantation from the perspective of sharia and also positive law with a special focus on the Egyptian law. It consists of a preliminary chapter, on the transfer and transplantation of human organs and the scope of one's authority over one's own body, and four main chapters: the view permitting transfer and transplantation of human organs from a living person to another living person; the view rejecting the transfer and transplantation of human organs from a living person to another living person and critique against it; the permissibility of transfer and transplantation of organs from a deceased person to a living person; the attitude of Egyptian legislation on the transfer and transplantation of human organs.
