تم تقديم هذا البحث إلى المؤتمر العالمي الثالث عن الطب الإسلامي المنعقد في الكويت خلال الفترة 28 سبتمبر – 2 أكتوبر 1984. تتمثل الأطروحة الرئيسية لهذا البحث في القول بأن للزواج ليس فقط فوائد اجتماعية وإنما يحمي الأشخاص أيضا من مختلف الأمراض الناجمة عن الممارسات الجنسية غير الشرعية مثل مرض السفلس والإيدز.

This paper was presented to the third international conference on Islamic medicine held in Kuwait during the period 28 September- 2 October 1984. The main thesis of this paper is that marriage does have not only social benefits but also protects people from different diseases that result from illicit sexual practices such as syphilis and AIDS.
