يشتمل الكتاب على ثمانية عشر فصلا حول العديد من الموضوعات المتعلقة بالعلاقة بين الإسلام والطب النفسي. يتناول الكتاب تقسيم الأمراض النفسية في الطب الغربي وكيفية معالجتها ثم يعرض للمفهوم الإسلامي للنفس وكذلك مفهوم الصحة النفسية من وجهة النظر الإسلامية.

The book consists of eighteen chapters that deal with several themes involving the relationship between Islam and psychiatry. The book addresses the classification of psychological disorders and different methods of treatment in Western medicine and then focuses on the Islamic concept of the soul as well as the concept of psychological health from the Islamic perspective.
