The book discusses the legal and sharia-based rules pertaining to premarital tests with a special focus on the context of Algeria. It consists of a preliminary chapter, on the importance of marriage and its objectives, in addition to two main chapters: reality of premarital testing, its motives as well as the conditions and guidelines regulating its application; and the legal foundation for premarital testing, its permissibility, and the attitude of the jurists as well as modern Arab legislation towards it.
