The book discusses the criminal protection for the use of genes in the human species with a particular focus on the French and Egyptian laws. It consists of a preliminary chapter, on the attitude of criminal legislation towards biotechnological development, and two main chapters: criminal policy in the face of biomedical developments in French legislation; and criminal liability emanating from the use of human genes.
