تم تأليف هذا الكتاب بناء على طلب من الأمين العام المساعد للمنظمة الإسلامية للعلوم الطبية والتي قامت بنشر الكتاب.يناقش هذا الكتاب -والذي شارك في تأليفه فقيه مسلم وطبيبة مسلمة- الأحكام الفقهية المتعلقة بأخص خصوصيات النساء مثل ختان الإناث والحمل والإجهاض والحيض والنفاس والنزيف الحيضي والنزيف غير الحيض والنزيف الذي يصيب النساء بشكل عام. وقد تصدرت المعلومات الطبية عددا من فصول الكتاب تلاها تحليل من منظور فقهي إسلامي.

This book was written at the request of the secretary general assistant of the Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) and was also published by the IOMS. The book, co-authored by a Muslim religious scholar and a Muslim physician, handles the Islamic juristic rulings which exclusively relate to women such as female circumcision, pregnancy, abortion, menstrual blood, postnatal bleeding, metrorrhagia, menorrhagia and gynecological hemorrhage in general. Different chapters of the book are prefaced by general medical information and then followed by a further analysis from an Islamic juristic viewpoint.
