This book contains several chapters that deal with sharia rulings pertaining to biomedical issues which include: cloning; maternity and HIV/AIDS; rules pertaining to privacy and confidentiality and their application in the medical field; beginning and end of human life; prohibited and impure materials and their uses in food and medicine; transfer and transplantation of genital organs; sharia-compliant methods of slaughter; the use of Prophetic reports in medical and therapeutic areas; and the establishment of lineage by DNA fingerprinting.
